Speaker’s profile
Dr. Nakata graduated Tokyo Univ. with bachelor and master of mathematics in 1958. He joined Hitachi Ltd in the same year. In 1979, he became a professor of the Institute of Information Sciences and Electronics, University of Tsukuba; a professor at University of Library and Information Science in 1997; a professor of Computer and Information Science at Hosei University in 2000; a professor emeritus of University of Tsukuba.

Current Status of Standardization of Ruby

JIS X 3017 Programming languages Ruby was registered on March 22nd of this year and then submitted to ISO/IEC to be an international standard. And, English translation version was issued on this July. Now it’s time to think of the next version which to be a more complete specification. This talk will cover current progress and future plans for standardization.
