Speaker’s profile

Started working for Sony Corporation in 1970, he experienced some tens of jobs such as human resources, merchandizing strategy, legal and external relations, standards and technology alliance, etc. He is the representative of Japan to Standardization Management Board of IEC. In 2008, he was given a Prime Minister Award for international standards setting activity.

In recent years, the world of standards setting is changing significantly in accordance with the changes in organizations and human beings, i.e. their growth from the poor to the rich. The keywords for Japanese industry to catch up with those changes are materials, components, technology, English, independence, local, and small-and-medium sized companies that use (do not sell) technology for global business.
